La Muse revolves around Susan La Muse, an activist with super human powers. One day Susan is caught on tape using her powers which quickly gains her celebrity status. Hiring her sister, Libby, on as her publicist, Susan embarks on a mission using her new found fame and powers to fix the world of everything that is wrong with it. Identified as a threat to the social structure, Susan quickly becomes a marked woman by the government, religious fanatics, terrorist and just about anyone else that doesn’t agree with her way of thinking.

This is one of the best stories that I have read in awhile. Susan La Muse is a character that you can really rally behind, wanting her to succeed in every endeavour she partakes. Seeing her conquer the people that pull the strings of society is a victory for the little guy.

One of the endearing qualities of this heroine is that Susan La Muse did not place her focus on the common criminal, instead she decided to tackle a much bigger criminal, the social structure. Curing third world countries of famine, ending the worlds dependency on oil. No, she set her goals a bit higher than your average super hero.

The story is packed with twist and turns that do a really good job of moving the plot along at an acceptable pace, the story never feels bogged down at any degree.

Adi Tantimedh provides plenty of depth to the story and to the characters. His story is laced with humor, violence, action and sex(quite a bit, actually), offering the reader a little bit of everything. His take on what’s wrong with the world is flawlessly depicted in his writings.

As for the art, well it has a beautiful woman on the cover licking a lollipop, works for me. Seriously though, the artwork of Hugo Petrus is realistic, attractive, effective and simply perfect for this type of story.

Overall, La Muse is a highly polished, very original and extremely entertaining read that provides a story that really sucks you in.
