Have you been following the Larsen vs Marvel battle that has been raging since Amazing Spider-Man #583 came out. If not here is a timeline of events.
Erik Larsen, creator of The Savage Dragon, feels that Marvel has betrayed him. Larsen goes as far as accusing Marvel of stealing his idea for their Spider-Man book.
Steve Wacker, Spider-Man editor, shoots back at Erik Larsen.
Somewhere along the way Peter David joins the act because he understands exactly how Erik Larsen feels.
Next up is Erik Larsen firing back at Spider-Man editor Steve Wacker.
It’s a public official people, I don’t think you can copyright a public official so that would make him fair game. That last sentence may sound like I’m taking sides, I’m really not. I’m just enjoying the back and forth. It makes for an interesting read.
Since President Obama is the cause of all of this commotion let’s keep our attention focused on him. Looks like he may be squaring off with Norman Osborn sometime down the road. Oh and the Skrulls are the reason the economy has tanked. Bush always seems to have an out.
You know I really didn’t intend on having all of these Obama stories in this weeks edition but hell, the man seems to be dominating the news.
Why not just create an entire comic book series centered around the President?
So this story is not directly related to Obama but it does involve politics in comics. I find myself agreeing with what this guy is saying.
Final Obama in comics post for the week. It looks like Obama in comics brings out the ass in a few people, well at least this one store clerk in particular.

I spent six years in the United States Army and not once did I see a Preventative Maintenance Manual in the form of a comic book. It wouldn’t have made the task of maintaining my vehicle any more enjoyable than what it was but it would have been better than reading the Army regulation manuals. Then again, probably not. They’re still cool though.
Final Crisis #6 is out and it brings to close the Batman R.I.P. storyline. As the post author says, this is comics, the dead stay dead. Right? Well, not so fast.
Our first ever quote of the week comes from Grant Morrison via Wizard Universe and it reads like this.
What’s it like going down in history as the man who killed Batman?
MORRISON: “It’s great! At last! I feel like John Wilkes Booth. It’s fantastic.”
