Should You Be Reading This? – The Intro
Joshua N. Pierce, Columnist

When I became a comic book fan at the age of 19 several years ago my friends scratched their heads and wondered if I went mad. The answer is a simple, “no”. I didn’t go mad, I was just delving into the only literature that I ever found interesting, or fascinating, comic books. They have been long associated as a child’s book or even more a nerd’s book; but to me comic books are so much more. They are a connecting barrier for people of all walks life, they are what brings people together at conventions and gets us all talking about books we like.

In this column we are going to be going over TPB’s, graphic novels, mini-series, and on-going series to find out if it is worth your dollar. I will be giving you a review of the book, with a rating of up to 5 stars. I will also be giving you my opinion if it is worth your hard earned dollar or not.

In this column I may not just be writing about books are released the week of the article, as I may wait until a story is done to let you know if it is worth it. I may tell write an article after reading a story and telling you it is garbage. I may wait until the trade to tell you if you get a better read. The idea of this column is to give you the best reading experience possible, and for you not to waste a single penny on something that just isn’t worth. If by chance I receive any request, or questions they will also be present in column as I get to them. I will answer every e-mail I get, and I will try to do all of them in this column to get the most bang for every “buck”. So, feel free to e-mail me at joshuanpierce@gmail.com. My first article will be next week, and it will be about Shadowline/Image’s new graphic novel Heathentown. Tune in next week to enjoy.
