Bobby Nash is the writer/artist of the comic strip Life In The Faster Lane, but his writing credits do not end there, no that’s only the beginning. Bobby’s other works include Lance Star – Sky Ranger, The Sentinels Widescreen Special Edition, Domino Lady, Full Throttle Space Tales Vol. 2: Space Sirens, and The Sentinels: Alternate Visions just to name a few.

Bobby recently answered a few questions for us as part of the newest feature at ComicNews.Info, “Checking in With…”, in which we ask some of our favorite creators a handful of questions related to comics.

What comic related projects are you working on right now?

Right now I’m working on getting a Lance Star: Sky Ranger comic book series into production as well as getting started on the next pulp anthology featuring the character. I’m also working on a couple novels that I should finish soon and start shopping around. And I’m doing a western short story. I’m also doing press and promotion for some books that just came out, including Sentinels: Alternate Voices (White Rocket Books), Full Throttle Space Tales Vol. 2: Space Sirens (Flying Pen Press), and Domino Lady (Moonstone Books).

What goals, both short and long term, have you set for yourself at this stage in your career?

My short term goals are to get my work out there and into the hands of the readers so I can establish myself. My long term goals are to get my work to the widest audiences possible. I would love to write full time for a living. I’d also like to get some experience writing for TV and movies as well down the road.

Looking to the future, where do you see the comic book industry five years from now?

Hopefully, in five years the comic book industry will be thriving. I think there are some great characters out there and some truly talented people who will continue to tell amazing stories. I hope I’m still writing comics in five years.

What’s the most rewarding experience you’ve ever had while working in the comics industry?

Well, nothing tops your first professional work seeing print. When the first issue of Demonslayer I worked on arrived I was ecstatic. I’ve also been very fortunate and received a lot of positive feedback on my work. That people enjoy my books is very rewarding.

What is your dream project?

I’m not sure I have a dream project in mind, but there are definitely some characters out there I would love to take a crack at one day. The Fantastic Four and Supergirl spring to mind. And I’d like to think I’ve got at least one good Star Trek and Stargate story in me.
