March of Dimes Fundraiser

The following was from an e-mail from him:

“Here are the details. I am doing two waves for this campaign. The first one is now and the second will be this summer. Here is what I am asking from the artists:

The first wave will be the sketch cards. Michael Dooney, whose opinion I value, suggested doing regular sketch cards, as opposed to the 5×5 March of Dimes cards we used last year (see link below for examples). I am asking for a minimum of five. I can stretch the deadline on this to May 5 for you. I am out of the blank cards I ordered, so if you have cards that would be great. If not, let me know. (Please refrain from DC characters on the sketch cards.)

The second wave will be at least one convention type piece (11×17-ish). I am in discussions with a local comic book shop to host an auction featuring these pieces. Since the deadline on this piece is June 30, that gives everyone plenty of time (I hope). DC characters are okay for these pieces.
I really hope these requests are not unreasonable. If they are, any non-cash donations will gladly be accepted in its place (original art, sketch books, autographed items, etc).
Like usual, I can provide a tax receipt if requested. I am also going to hold a raffle and one lucky artist will win a new iPod Touch and three others will win an iPod Shuffle. These prizes will be donated. They will not be paid for from proceeds from our campaign.
The artist whose donations raise the most money will get an award from March of Dimes and Farmers Insurance, as well as an autographed thank you from my state’s governor, Christine Gregoire. I want to make this fun for you, as I really appreciate all of you helping out.”
